Championship Courses
Phuket’s golf courses have hosted international competitions and world championships and have a reputation of high standards with excellent service.
Mission Hills was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Yoshikazu Kato designed the Blue Canyon Course With challenging holes for new and experienced players, you really are spoilt for choice.
One of the most exciting is Red Mountain golfers face an assortment of challenges here with cliffs and valleys, soaring hills and flooded canyons. It’s the highest course on the island and the views are spectacularly dramatic.
Located right next door is Loch Palm popular with residents. A number of the holes are played alongside the lake and it has a number of holes to keep the Phuket golfer interested.
The oldest course is Phuket Country Club, the first championship golf course on the island. Located in the hills between Phuket Town and Patong, it’s set in a valley winding through rolling hills and limestone cliffs.
Most of the courses are inland, apart from Mission Hills which has some phenomenal views of the gorgeous Phang Nga Bay. Mission is surrounded by rubber plantations and mangrove forests and very close to the airport. it features numerous flat and lush green fairways and bunkers filled with fine white sand.
The host of the 2009 Singha Thailand Open and the Mercedes-Benz Masters Thailand 2010, Laguna Phuket Golf Club is based within the Laguna Phuket resort complex near Bang Tao beach. The course runs through a valley, bordered by low wooded hills and marshlands.
